That's bullshit!

These rumors come up every couple of months and they are still not true. At least when the car and the owner are from Europe. Which is the case for me since I'm from Germany. I just entered Argentina once again - this time from Bolivia - and got 8 months right away. In the last five years I did at least a dozen border crossings into Argentina from all countries having a border with Argentina and I always got 8 months.

Another rumor is that you need special documents for the car when leaving Argentina without car. This also is not true.
