" It sounds as if the vehicle has never left under your name Argentina."

I've mentioned this before - I know one traveller (who has also related his story on other forums) who arrived at Paso Jama from Chile and was informed that because there were several unexpired TIPs in his name and for his vehicle going back three years, they would not let him in again.

Eventually relented only to the extent of granting entry direct to the state Aduana head office where they eventually agreed that his passport supported his claims and that obviously the outstanding TIPs had been handed in but were never processed.

This could have happened to any subsequent purchaser (actually me!!!) who would get the blame for the uncancelled TIPs and would have an impossible job to try and explain what happened.
