Well Ginga, I have been traveling in South America for 5 years. I have used a database of various sorts for most of my travels. My current database has been a massive assistance to me. That is why I built it. You deride it, but you have never used it.It is analogous to you saying that an umbrella is useless though you have never used one. Once you try it, you will see the very large benefit. It is like traveling with a super map at your fingertips. No more stopping and asking every time, "is it safe to park here for the night?, and getting the answer, "not really, maybe you should look for another place." With the database, you know in advance exactly where you can camp and that it is safe. That saves a hell of a lot of time and headache. But i suppose Gringa thinks maps are also useless, as are vehicles, as are shoes, as is money. All those things just make travel too easy for you. You prefer to travel like Jesus - sure it is probably a lot more interesting, but it doesn't appeal to everyone. We know your opinion already, so stop being a parrot or go back to your cage.

Here is how the negative propaganda your side has progressed:
1) Yes, we want the database
2) It is too expensive. We want it for free.
3) It is copywrite infringement!!! We will sue!!
4) It is useless
5) Overlanders in South America do not need any tools to travel. The Jesus method is best.

A child could not have managed it any worse than you.
