Weggu,

It is true you gave me a gpd file 2 years ago with some poi data. The file was a mix from at least 4 other travelers data. The file was in 4 languages and all the POIs were not catagorized by type (bush camping, fuel station, hotels, campgrounds were all marked exactly the same). The data completely unreliable. You refused to clean it. You refused to remove the large number of duplicates. You refused to do anything to help. So i took your data, and i took data from many other travelers, and i cleaned it all. I removed all the duplicates. I categorized all the POIs into legitimate campgrounds, hotels, picnic areas, bush camping, etc. I verified that POI was real and that it was located at the correct GPS coordinates. I consolidated all this data with all the other campground database data i have been collecting for 5 years. Currently the database is about 4800 pois.

On my website are many POI files which I am sharing for free with everyone. These are files which I built myself. For example, I am sharing a POI file of hundreds of Landrover mechanics and parts dealers in South America. It took me hundreds of hours to compile that file, and I share it freely. ON my website are links to all the GPS map products you can download for free for all of South America. I have tested all the GPS maps for South America and on my website I tell you which ones work best for each country.

If someone is legitimately interested in my extremely large and comprehensive Camping POI file, I will send them screenshots and samples of the database.

If you are interested in having a database which will save you hours of stress and headache, then contact me. Otherwise please keep your selfish comments to yourselves.
