Fairly widely appreciated that the Dollar Blue rate exists because of the poor state of the economy that culminated in the crash of 2002 and its continuing aftermath and the resulting depreciation of the Argentinian Peso - not the other way around.
I feel sorry for Argentinians who bear the brunt of the continuing depreciation but have no compunction about spending my money because at the local level a peso is a peso regardless of whether I paid 12 US cents for it out of a ATM or paid 7 cents for it on the street.
