Geldwechsel in Salta/Argentinien (Sonstiges)

Couple of times - not in Salta, but I imagine the same applies just about anywhere - we have gone into shops and asked if they change money and what rate. One hardware store owner out in the sticks gave us a rate as good as on the streets in Buenos Aries.

Hotels were the least useful. Restaurants worked pretty well too

Price on the streets in BA now is around 15 pesos to the dollar, while the official rate isn't much over 8 so really anything better than 12 is probably good enough not to warrant chasing around for hours.
