So are you saying that if I go through the border formalities as a pedestrian, the stamp in my passport is a different stamp to the one I would get if I went through as the driver of a vehicle. Or perhaps the officer writes something on the stamp to indicate that a vehicle came in with that person, or an entry into the computer, or what?

Surely they must have some procedure in place to identify the owner/driver.
