Meiner steht hier http://www.parkingenuruguay.com/index-d.htm

Gruss

pickypalla @, Brasilien, Sonntag, 18. Juni 2017, 08:36 (vor 2476 Tagen) @ Geo

Uruguay 12 Monate
Argentinien bis zu 8 (je nach Beamsten)
Bolivien 30 Tage (verlängerbar)
Brasilien, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Columbien 90 Tage

Only if it is a genuine motorhome registered as such in the home state. Even then there are reports that mexico is cracking down on leaving vehicles and flying out without permission from the Aduana, and further in Sonora and Baja that used to be open slather for entering motorhomes without documentation and leaving them there for years, the reports are saying that normal regulations regarding TIPs are being enforced.

The aduana in David in panama apparently allows you to leave your vehicle in their compound for $1 per day with a limit of 6 months.

You might be told that Brazil is open slather, but TIPs have been issued again after the world cup since more than a year ago - although I recently left a vehicle that entered without a TIP for 12 months and left through a small border post without question, but I would advise against trying it now.

Hallo Overlander,

Vielen Dank.

Hallo an alle Panamericanafreunde,

Betreff: Wohnmobil langzeit stehen lassen

Hallo Michael

saludos Hans

Regarding the supposed changes for Ecuador, unless you see (and understand) the official documentation AND talk to senior Aduana officials AND get it in writing, I would be cautious about concluding that just because you might be able to get a personal visa for 365 days, that aduana will automatically give you 365 days for your vehicle. That certainly wasn't the case when you could buy a 6 month personal visa (at great cost) when Aduana couldn't have cared less and 90 days was the best you could get unless you did a border run to renew the TIP.

Get it wrong and the reported penalties will send you bankrupt.

SPANISH
That merely talks about tourist visas (of which several variations have been available for a long time) and says nothing at all about whether those paying for these visas are guaranteed to get a corresponding time for their vehicle.

This of course was exactly the problem with the previous rumours that aduana would automatically give an extension of the TVIP to match the 180 day visa. There was no official policy and of course some people managed it and some did not - and all it takes is one or two who did not get the extension to show that there was no official policy in place.

What we need is an official CUSTOMS declaration that they will unconditionally match any visa with a corresponding TVIP validity. Without that, it seems a bit premature to be advertising that people can leave their vehicle in Ecuador for 1 year.

Maybe there is more official documentation to cover the TVIP in which case please publish it here so we can all be reassured that spending several hundred dollars on Visas (ie US$1000 for a couple) is guaranteed to allow their vehicle to remain without fear of draconianb penalties being imposed.

It would be even more reassuring to read specific regulations that allow people to leave the country while leaving their vehicle behind because that also is generally specifically prohibited under most countries regulations.

Dear Iveco Tony, better you come to Ecuador, but you always seem to know everything better outside of Ecuador.
At present, we have 2 mobile homes here with visas for 90 days and one for 365 days. Don't worry, it works best. I will not write more on this subject any more. I have only given important new information to all overlanders.
sorry but it seams, some people can't except new changes.

Ah, OK Hans, So there is no official policy regarding 365 day TVIP after all. Just personal tourist visas.

If there was, it would be available for people to read and decide for themselves whether it was true or not. That way, people don't have to risk paying large amounts of money and then making plans only to find that when they go to aduana to get the sure-thing extension to their TVIP, their request is denied.

Been there, done that, and I'm not the only one either.
