Visum für USA/Kanada als Venezolaner

Hallo,
vielleicht kann mir bei diesem komplizierten Punkt jemand von euch weiterhelfen!
Mein Lebensgefährte ist Venezolaner und hat keine weitere Staatsbürgerschaft.
Wir sind bisweilen viel miteinander gereist wobei z.B. die Einreise in die EU (nach dem Schenke-Abkommen auf 3 Monate befristet) oder ein Aufenthalt in Afrika kein Problem war!
Für die USA hingegen soll das sehr kompliziert sein ein Visum zu erlangen, vor allem wenn man dort keinen Familienteil hat! US-Behörde gibts ja in Venezuela auch keine mehr!
Wäre schön wenn jemand mehr darüber weiß!

Have you tried http://travel.state.gov/visa/

Obviously the conditions vary for different countries but their three month visa isn't all that much more complicated that the EU one. They also have long-term ones that allow 6 months
per year but they require on-line application followed by personal interview.

The visa site lists fees for your country so it must be possible

thanks for your link, but I knew before!
The most people in Venezuela say, that you need a lot of luck (money, contact...like Chavez;)) or a part of your family there. Also if your family lifes there might be very complicated!
So the point is: He hasn´t family there!
I think i or we have to accept in final that panamerika is mostly for northamerican or european people!
About EU: It´s very easy for Venezuelan people! They have to show nothing for entering 3 month during an half a year (Schenke-Abkommen)! But that´s not for all countries the same! Like Columbien people don´t have this!

I will try to get a visum, lets see and don´t give up hope! Or you know somebody getting the visum in this way?

I don't have family or friends in the US either but I got a 5 - year visa just the same.

If you have any sort of criminal record it will be harder but still not impossible. If you try to bulls**t your way through the process you will be found out.

Best start the process with positive outcome in mind rather than being defeatist.

das große Problem ist zu beweisen, das dein Freund nich illegal in USA bzw. Kanada bleiben will und eine Rückkehrbereitschaft besteht, das wollen die Behörden halt belegt haben durch;

1. Grundbesitz,wie bezahlte Immobilie oder Grund und Boden; Grundbuchauszug
vorlegen

2. Sparbuch mit mind. 10.000 US$; Bankbürgschaft vorlegen

3. Regelmäßiges Einkommen durch z.B. Vermietung von Immobilien, oder eine feste
Anstellung; Arbeitsvertrag vorlegen

Folgende Gründe werden nicht als Rückkehrwillig gewertet;

1. Leibliche Kinder

2. Familie, Eltern, Pflege von Verwandten

3. Heiratsbereitschaft

Das dein Freund schon Visa für Europa und Afrika bekommen hat ist den Amis völlig egal, die haben ihre eigenen Gesetze.

Abgesehen von den enormen Hürden für dein Freund, würde ich es in Caracas trotzdem mal im US Konsulat versuchen einen Antrag zu stellen.

Lieber Tom,

danke für deine Antwort! Sie hilft mir weiter nicht weiterhin zu viel Energie in dies zu stecken, da weder ich noch er über eine derartige finanzielle Sicherheit verfügen.
Da das Mindesteinkommen durch die nicht etwa neue extreme Inflation in Venezuela ja auch unter der Abdeckung der Grundlebenskosten liegt ist dies auch nicht sehr verwunderlich!
Tia, ich glaube es wäre besser sich vielleicht doch eine andere Rute auszudenken oder ein "Erbe von Chavez" zu werden

Entschuldigung: Eigentlich hat politische Meinung hier nicht sehr viel zu suchen, aber momemtan rutschts einfach raus, vor allem wenn man sich im letzten halben Jahr hier auf/sgehalten hat!
Jedoch als Information zur Einreise in die EU (Deutschland) bzw auch nach Ägypten!
Hierbei brauchen Venezuela keinerlei Visum oder auch kein Einladungsschreiben! Ebenso eine Vorlage einer Reisekrankenversicherung ist nicht zwingend notwendig.

Nicht nur viele Klischees sondern auch Unmengen an Hürden in der Klassengesellschaft machen eine Internationle Beziehung echt nicht leicht, wie dass die "CIA" in Ägypten uns vor Misstrauen sogar für "Israellische Agenten" hielt!

Have to agree about compulsory travel insurance and the need to have adequate resources to look after yourself, simply because entry to any country isn't a right and they are entitled to impose whatever conditions they feel necessary.
In the US, we were staggered by the costs of visiting a doctor for a simple condition, so if you actually ended up in hospital for anything serious, the costs would go up by many thousands of dollars every day.

Thanks Thony, but the travel insurance isn´t the problem, it´s like Panamtraveler wrote the money in dollars... that you have to present!
The US look that the "Liberal Country" don´t have more problems with foreigner from south- or centralamerica. It´s in someway realistic and for getting work it´s the same in europe! The difference is only that you can visit europe without any problems, maybe because the flight is also not very cheap!
We aren´t thinking about working there!
In some way I can understand why for the most people in Venezuela, U.S aren´t the best friends. It´s strange how much U.S influence only in the supermarkets, all people like to safe the money in Dollar/Euro..., and how much political interest of the U.S have in an other Petrocountry.
For sure Venezuela has a lot, lot, of problems, but in giving the falt always only in other countries, and politic figures with dobleface arn´t the first and onliest one in this world.
The bad point is only: how has to take the consequences of all political shit: The "simple" people!
May be the "socialist" Chavezfamily should leave U.S. at first and save their money in bolivares and not dollars;)!

Yes, it is just one of those situations where a few people misbehaving cause rules and procedures to be introduced that make it hard for all the rest.
I guess countries can only make those rules based on general statistics rather than looking at individual cases. '
The US and UK and I know Australia does, look at what percentage of tourists from each country overstay their visas, or in fact never leave, and tailor the entry requirements accordingly. Maybe not fair to the individual visitors who are inconvenienced, but I guess it is practical for the visited country to at least raise the barrier high enough to reduce the odds of anyone staying.
Does it work?? Probably not because I know that in Australia, the influx of economic refugees and "genuine"refugees is increasing despite the barriers being raised, and somehow people from very poor countries are finding vast amounts of money to pay the people smugglers.

All this is the reality in which the most people only like/need to spend time if they get confronted with it personally!

Lets see! We can think about this in a view years again, afterward he could get a second nacionality or in the other way only travelling in the "second or third world" (the words that got changed in difference to the reality)

I think we have already enjoyed the best years as far as freedoms go. As population rises and the number and scale of natural and man-made crises increase, countries will become even more protective of their borders and even stricter about who they let in. You mentioned the EU as being easier to get in to, but I can't see that continuing in the face of waves of people from the middle east and further eastwards, and Africa.

I agree with you! It´s true that the EU isn´t very open to the south and east! Maybe the difference is that a lot of countries would like to get part of the european union and the union grew and until know it didn´t grow in the way of war. I don´t want to make them to heros, only lets think in the colonial era before US...
I think we can have a discussion without final and also without solution!
Like also every theory of solution can be interpreted very different and disused!
I only know that I prefer for me the socialdemocratic system with: Free schools, mostly free universities with (until now) quality and medical security! I think wouldn`t have the posibility to study in an other way and and and...!
But of course there are also a lot of things that aren´t ok!
:) Who has the final word;)? Or you want to continue this never ending story............?!¡¿ :)
