Es ist ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit dass etwaige Moderatoren oder Admins alles prüfen, ich tue's aber als Nutzer bei jedem Halt.

Ich kenne jedoch nicht andere Apps, in Chile reicht diese massenhaft. Klar ist eines der wichtigsten Inhalte "Last visited".

Meine Erfahrung damit:
Ich habe die App auch installiert, nutze die aber so gut wie gar nicht. Ich habe fast ausschließlich neutrale bis negative Erfahrungen damit gemacht. Ich habe noch nicht einen einzigen angegebenen Stellplatz genutzt, mir aber ab und zu welchen angesehen, wenn ich daran vorbei gekommen bin. Die waren oft vermüllt, ringsrum zugeschissen und romantisierend verklärt beschrieben, was der Wirklichkeit selten nahe kommt.
Viele der Zusatzinformationen, wie ATMs, Mobilfunkkartenverkaufsstandorte sind unnötig oder veraltet.
Die vielen Warnungen vor Kriminalität oder Straßenzustand sind höchst subjektiv und nicht allgemein anwendbar.
Für manch einen sicher ok, für mich unnötig.

Was mich bei dem neuen Finanzierungsmodell stört, ist die Belohnung für "top contributors". Das hat schon bei vielen Webseiten und Apps dafür gesorgt, dass noch mehr unnötiger Krempel hochgeladen wurde. Schade.
Aber wer weiß, vielleicht wirds ja auch toll :)

Das neue iOverlander2 wird, wenn man es im vollen Umfang nutzen will, kostenpflichtig.
Betrag pro Jahr bzw. pro Monat.

Das bisherige (nun mit Zusatz Legacy) wird wohl Ende dieses Jahres eingestellt.

Die App Organic maps. Die Karten zuhause herunterladen und dann unterwegs offline nutzen.
Genug Speicher auf dem Handy vorausgesetzt, kannst du ganz Südamerica herunterladen, und dann hast du unterwegs den vollen Überblick. Und wie gesagt alles Offline.

Außerdem finden wir „TravelSpend“ super, da kannst du alle deine Kosten in Kategorien eintragen.
Die App „Polarsteps“, eine Art Reisetagebuch in der du deine ganze Strecke siehst. „Deepl“ & natürlich „Google Maps“.
