Verschiffung des Autos von USA nach Europa / Dokumente (Verschiffung)

I am Austrian citizen and plan to ship my car in a container from the USA to Europe. The car is registered in Austria and has Austrian number plates. Various freight forwarders informed me that they can ship only cars which are registered in the USA. As a minimum they request a documentation that I legally brought my car into the USA. Unfortunately, the costumes official at the Canadian / US border informed me that there does not exist any official document in order to register cars entering the USA. How did you overcome this problem? Which documents did you use? Was there any documentation necessary except the car papers of the country of origin when you shipped your car?

Ich bin österreichischer Staatsbürger und möchte mein Auto per Container von den USA zurück nach Europa verschiffen. Das Auto ist in Österreich angemeldet und hat österreichische Nummerntafeln. Mehrere Frächter haben mir mitgeteilt, dass sie nur in den USA registrierte Autos verschiffen können, bzw. dass ich zumindest Papiere vorlegen muss, dass ich das österreichische Auto legal in die USA eingeführt habe. Leider haben mir die amerikanischen Grenzbehörden an der Grenze Kanada/USA erklärt, dass Autos nicht registriert werden und es kein entsprechendes Formular gibt. Wie habt ihr dieses Problem gelöst? Welche Dokumente habt ihr benutzt? Welche Dokumente waren für die Verschiffung notwendig außer den normalen Fahrzeugpapieren?
