Pretty rare that people behave badly enough that any thread becomes totally useless. When things do get a bit heated, it is usually long after the topic discussion has run its course

Must admit that now that I have read the thread just below this one, it seems obvious that there are some threads that are not the slightest bit relevant to the aims of this forum and the forum would be greatly improved by some careful "adjustments"
