Regarding the supposed changes for Ecuador, unless you see (and understand) the official documentation AND talk to senior Aduana officials AND get it in writing, I would be cautious about concluding that just because you might be able to get a personal visa for 365 days, that aduana will automatically give you 365 days for your vehicle. That certainly wasn't the case when you could buy a 6 month personal visa (at great cost) when Aduana couldn't have cared less and 90 days was the best you could get unless you did a border run to renew the TIP.

Get it wrong and the reported penalties will send you bankrupt.
