Use a forged document and everything based on that document is null and void. Make a false or misleading or incomplete statement sitting at a desk or on-line and everything depending on that statement is void. Basic Law 101. Consequences are just the same as they would be back home except the penalties are likely to be more severe. There is always a choice and if one choice involves breaking the law and the other choice doesn't require breaking the law, then no amount of twisted logic can justify taking the first choice.
