An alle Interessierten,

ich habe inzwischen bei Sathers für unseren Toyota-HZJ79-Camper eine mexikanische Versicherung und eine für USA/Kanada gekauft. Die Abwicklung ging sehr einfach per E-Mail. Hier ein paar Details aus dem Mail-Austausch mit Pierre Gerardy von Sathers:

"I can offer you insurance for Mexico for $171 for 6 months. The cost of a Mexican policy is the same from 30 days to 6 months. This covers $500,000 of liability insurance along with roadside assistance and medical and legal assistance.

For the insurance for the US and Canada, I have attached a proposition from Allied Insurance. This is an annual contract which has to be paid in full. If you leave after 6 months, I will be able to get you a refund .

To the annual premium, there is an additional $100 due to the Sather agency who handles the administration of all contracts and a 3% credit card fee."

und

"the Mexican policy liability limit of $500,000 is for the other party's injuries and property damage. This called a single limit policy which includes both coverages ( bodily injury and property damage ). $500,000 is the maximum coverage they offer.

The Allied policy is different : The bodily injury limits are : $250,00 per person up to $500,000 per accident.
The property damage limits are $100,000. These coverages are also the maximum offered for this program.
