"The car papers have to be right, your name on the registration document without papers by the notary."

In my view, this part is critical, simply because not all countries will recognise a PODER. Trouble is there is often a major stumbling block against getting valid ownership and registration because many countries and states do not allow transfer of registration to citizens of other countries, or even other states and/or absentee transfer is not possible in any event.

"You can as a document without problems themselves produce (PC thanks be) we are for 8 years on the road with a homemade document and no one has inquired depending on an original."

Yes, you and lots of others who like to live on the edge. Isn't photoshop great! Trouble is what happens if you hit a bus full of schoolkids and the police determine it is your fault. And then the insurance company does a bit of digging and finds out the vehicle is not legally registered anywhere and so the TIP declaration is invalid and so the insurance cover is null and void. What then?
