I used the same unit for a couple of years until it fell apart.Now use a Netsys NET-805N which seems to have better performance.

Both units made it quite easy to pick up open WiFi from Macdonalds, BigBox stores, motels and fuel stations - and from the other end of campgrounds that had wifi - from out in the carpark. In Chile the libraries also had free wifi once you registered for the country-wide service.
