You might need to be willing to allow the "courier" to unpack and inspect the contents very closely.

This wouldn't be a problem. We are trying to get a fuel pump over to Argentina as we are currently without an option in Salta, Argentina. Unfortunately Argentina currently has increased their duties/taxes on imported items to 50%, so hence the request for assistance.

Often the main problem is not so much the extra cost, but the hassles of getting stuff through Argentine Customs. People have had to make very long bus journeys to get their stuff released just because they don't have a usable customs agents system in place.

What is it - injector pump or normal mechanical fuel pump.

It is the fuel pump including the fuel unit. Most of the time you would not be stopped or questioned about your baggage or other unless you have something to declare and this is not it. We have been traveling for over 2 years and have never experienced any problems.
