Lohnt sich Brasilien? (Sonstiges)

Yes, although the distances are huge and some of the roads seem to be more potholes than actual bitumen. We did a three day barge trip from Corumba to Porto Jofre which was worthwhile just for the experience but expensive. Not so many campgrounds but fuel stations are welcoming and safe for overnighting. We don't speak Portuguese (or Spanish for that matter) and English speaking locals can be very thin on the ground but we managed OK

We didn't go anywhere near the coast and stayed right out of big cities apart from Brasilia where we had friends but most European travellers find it well worth visiting the coastal areas.

Propane supplies will be very problematic as they have no autogas and their swap bottles are radically different to anything else. see http://panamericanaforum.org/index.php?id=22967 below

iOverlander is probably the best app for finding camping spots even though a large number will be service stations.
