However, after the major hassles in Uruguay settled down and authorities supposedly agreed that people could legally leave their vehicles for up to a year while they go home, I would feel better leaving it in Uruguay simply because it hasn't been tested in Argentina and I know someone who asked aduana if they could leave their vehicle in BA for a day while they went to Uruguay on the ferry and were told it was illegal.
