Satellitenanlage in Südamerika nutzbar? (Sonstiges)

Not really a good answer Ben, but I have seen a few European motorhomes with satellite dishes in South America, but never seen one deployed even though many houses have satellite dishes on them. Most of the dishes are branded with the name of a service provider so it could be that unlike in Europe, there are no free to air channels available here.

I know of an Australian who had plans to bring back (to Australia) an Oyster dish and decoder from Europe but it turned out that it couldn't easily be made compatible so he didn't go ahead with it.

The extra weight isn't the only good reason to leave it home. The extra 20cm in height makes it very vulnerable to getting damaged by trees or overhead wires
