The yellow wires are the aerials that run from tree to tree. No earth - and I have committed all sorts of wiring rule infractions by cutting a two core cord in half, baring the ends and wrapping them around the pins on my supply cord and taping over the lot securely. Then file down the US large flat pin so it fits into the brazil flat pin socket.
I promise to make up something a bit more permanent as soon as we hit town tomorrow."

Some very wise travellers install an inverter and batteries to supply all of their on-board appliances and then add enough solar to keep them charged under normal circumstances.

Then they have a multivoltage battery charger with the standard EU plug and then they have a basic set of adaptors. That way they are totally isolated from crappy power supplies and it doesn't matter what country they are in.
