Had a long detailed reply written but it vanished into cyberspace

On the basis of a picture being worth a thousand words, here is my thousand words at

But briefly, your EU plug is very unlikely to fit any outlet in the whole of the Americas and especially thiose in the majority of countries that use 120V 60Hz.

Of the rest in S America that have something close to 230V 50HZ, nearly all have their own pattern and/or US outlets. Brazil has both 240V and 120V 60hz often side by side and sometimes not well marked.

No ground wire is pretty standard.

Any well-equipped US and Canadian RV will carry these adaptors

Unlike in Australia where some get very precious about sticking to the rules regarding caravan leads, the US scene is a bit more pragmatic - summed up by "whatever works"
The large cord at the top is the 50 amps per phase two phase and neutral lead to connect with the supply normally available in most RV parks and needed to power the three rooftop AC units, 80 amp battery charger, twin fridge-freezers, icemakers, dishwashers and espresso coffee makers that come as standard equipment in any proper Class A

If you are slumming it and there is only a 30 amp single phase supply available then you need the yellow dongle that connects three wires to four .
Then if you are still power-less, you need the bakelite adaptor that connects the 30 amp three pin plug and the 15 amp outlet.

Then another step down in the supply chain comes a converter that screws in to an Edison screw light fitting to take a 15A plug. Obviously proper earthing doesn't play a part in the quest for a perfect cup of coffee.
