No, I think he saied he added 60 days to his personal visa - which is done at a migration office, and then he went to an Aduana office in another city and added 60 days to his Vehicle Import permit.

If you are driving a car then there is no point adding time to your visa unless you also get time added to the TVIP. Worst that happens if you overstay your visa is a 1 USD a day fine paid at the exit, but overstaying a TVIP can be very risky.
