Last month i tried to take the car via Buquebus on the ferry to Uruguay and was told that there was a problem because the customs form didn't list my name, and that we'd have to go to central customs to resolve it. I did try and find central customs but couldn't find the adress and figured that the customs lady was just being extra picky since my father in law had crossed the border with the same papers without a problem.

So we drove up this morning to the Gualeguaychu border figuring a smaller border might do the same thing has happened in with my father in law, and just let us through. Well nope. They decided to seize the car, sequestrar (kidnap) is the word they used. Claiming that the customs form requires the person to leave with the car who enters with it.
