Thanks Andy, Thanks Jumper - sounds worth going that way and I doubt the roads could be worse than the main drag anyway. Just that to go to that crossing and then have to go back again would be a bit of a pain so wanted to check that there is no major obstacle to using it. have read other blogs where people got there too early and the river was too high but that shouldn't be a problem now. If it is, then we just turn around and go the main crossing. One advantage of having no timetable and plenty of time.
Andy - they told me they met you. Have since seen an identical rig down here so at least I know now what I've bought. This will be the fourth rig I've bought sight unseen so hope I'm as lucky with this one as with the others.

Jumper - my German is about as good as my Spanish which means almost none at all - however with Mr Google Translate's help, it usually makes enough sense that I can figure 95% of it out. Means that us badly-educated slobs with only one language can join in with useful forums like this one.
